The story of the three men – What Would You Choose, Love, Wealth or Success?

Before you read the story of the three men and the wisdom and lesson that this story holds, I would like to point out to you, whatever your circumstances and whatever situation you are in, let your first and last wealth be in this loving life, because it is the only wealth that lasts forever and it is the path that leads you to the heart of God.

The Story of the Three Men

One day, a woman went out of her house and found three white-bearded men sitting in front of her front door. She did not recognize any of them, so she said to them: “I don’t think I know any of you, but you must be hungry. Please come with us and take something to eat.” They said to her: Is your man home?” And she said to them, “No, he’s out.”

They said to her: “If we cannot enter your house, your husband must be with you.” And in the evening, when her husband returned home, she told him what had happened, and he said to her: “Go and tell them that I have returned home, and I invite them to enter our house.”

The woman went outside and invited the men to enter, and they said to her: “We do not enter a house together.” The woman was surprised and said to them: “Why do you not enter together?” One of the old men answered her, explaining, pointing to one of his companions, saying: “This is called wealth.” Then he pointed to the other and said: “This is called success.” Then he added, saying: “As for me, my name is love.” Then he added, “Now go into your house and consult.” With your spouse.

The woman went back into her house and told her man what had happened to her. Her husband was very happy and said to her: “How beautiful this is.. As long as it is like this , let us invite wealth.. Let him enter us and fill our house with wealth.”

His wife did not agree with him, so she said to him: “Why do we not pray for success?” As for their daughter-in-law, who was listening to the conversation while she was on the other side of the house, she hastened to announce her opinion and said: “Isn’t it better that we invite love? Go outside and invite love to be our guest.

The woman went outside and asked the three men: “Who among you is Love? Let him please come and be our guest in our house.” The man whose name was Love stood up and started walking toward the house. And if the other two men were standing and following him, the woman was astonished and asked them, saying: “I only invited Love, so why are you two entering?”

The two men answered her in unison:
“If you invite wealth or success… the other two men will stay outside, but since you invited love, wherever he goes, we also go with him. Because where there is love… there will also be wealth and success…!”
