Palm Sunday Jesus Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem
Palm Sunday Jesus Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem
hosanna to the son of David. This is the call made by children, the poor, and the weak. These are people who do not want to be a bystander of Jesus, but rather people who support the message of Jesus and the principle of Jesus. The procession of Jesus today is the procession of salvation. God enters the heart of man simply, he brings us mercy and goodness.
He comes to us with the chant of salvation, carrying between its folds salvation, and not a false chant of salvation, as we see today in our days. Many promise us salvation, but any salvation, those who call us to salvation are themselves in need of salvation. However, the need is always for one. For Jesus, he only calls us to true salvation, not even himself, salvation.
Jesus is the King
The King of Peace, and enters Jerusalem, the city that never knew peace. The procession of Jesus never frightens, there are no soldiers, no guards, no tanks, but a donkey, olive branches, and palm fronds as a symbol of peace and joy. These are the signs of a humble and peaceful king.
Jesus included in his procession neither soldiers, guards, nor any symbol of violence. He wants the blind, the dumb, the wounded, the publicans, the lepers, and all sinners. Every person who was healed by Jesus walks in a procession. Jesus wants messengers preaching peace.
Many were on the road to Jerusalem, and many raised branches and shouted for the king. But all of them retreated to leave Jesus in the hour of suffering. Others raised their voices to be crucified, and others denied him, leaving with them only a few weak and weak groups that could only weep silently.
We are all afraid of kings
For they are rulers who rule firmly and violently over people, and often torture and unjustly persecute them. They do not care if many people sleep hungry and have no food to live on. But our King differs, for he is loving, does not bother us with his requests, but comes to us humbly, protects our fears, understands us and forgives us our sins, and cares for us.
If we want to walk with Jesus in the procession of Palm Sunday, we must make Him enter our hearts, healing our wounds, infirmities, and disfigurements. Each of us has a special Jerusalem, which is his heart.
Jesus, to this day, still rides a donkey, waiting to enter Jerusalem, every one of us, so to whom shall we stand today: on the side of the singing and rejoicing children, or on the side of the angry Pharisees? And let us remember that if we did not sing, the stones would sing and the kingdom of God would be announced. (Google Translate)
